Alchemy Goods

Alchemy Goods

While medieval alchemists sought to turn lead into gold, Alchemy Goods strives to turn useless stuff like blown-out inner tubes, old seatbelts and advertising banners into useful stuff like bags and wallets. Another word for this is upcycling. Recycling turns stuff into the same thing over and over again. Upcycling turns something of lesser value into something of greater value.
* The logos stitched to their bags have a small number in the upper right corner. This tiny number has big significance. It represents the percent (by weight) of upcycled material that goes into each product.
Alfred Stadler

Alfred Stadler

Head Designer and Creative Director of Alfred Stadler Life Style, Alfred has an extensive background in product and interior design with the focus on luxury materials such as leather, wool felt, wood and horn.

At a young age, Alfred earned his degree in Product and Interior Design from GWS Bern of Technology in Bern, Switzerland. Later he was introduced to artisanal craftsmanship with a top saddle maker building custom saddles for Olympic dressage riders. Here he learned the qualities of fine leathers and wool felt as well as the techniques of molding and sewing these materials.

With his thorough knowledge of design and leather, soon he was a member of the DeSede design team. Later, he became head designer of Swiss Seats and built a new furniture collection.

What followed was an impressive professional experience in North America. In 1991, working with the textile pioneer, Jack Lenor Larsen, Alfred designed and produced a modular area rug collection which met the needs for custom sizing demanded by architects and designers. For Ruckstuhl, a high-end carpeting company, he worked extensively with felt and introduced the use of felt for interior applications for walls, ceilings and cabinet linings. Alfred later became Director of Vitra Home North America strengthening the company's presence and sales in the U.S

For Alfred, the most important aspect of the business relationship is to create excellent energy and all to share a common goal.

Alicja Ceramics

Hi, I’m Alicja, I’m a hand building ceramicist, currently working in Mad River Valley, Vermont.

I honestly can’t remember the time when I was not creating, I graduated from Fine Arts High School in Poland, and later obtained a Studio Arts Degree from Nazareth College in Rochester NY.

I came back to clay about few years ago and couldn’t feel happier. These days you can find me spending hours at the my studio and retail shop Atelier101 in Waitsfield, Vermont working on new collections and pushing the limits of what I can do.

I don’t make large runs of products, I make small individual works. When you own one of my pieces you will have an original that you won’t find elsewhere. I hope you enjoy looking through my shop and if you decide to purchase any of my ceramics, I hope they bring you some of the joy that I find in making them.

AMB Designs creates pieces to reflect every woman's personality, from classic essentials to bold statement prints, because they believe some layers are meant to be shown off. Most of their prints are hand-painted and hand-dyed, which makes each garment a truly unique piece of wearable art.

They aim to fight overproduction in the fashion business by crafting most of their tops to order, eliminating the need for excess stock and waste. AMB is a fully women-owned and operated business based in Miami, Fl.
