Moon Tide Dyers started with the collaboration of two artists, Maura Cronin and Abbie Chambers who first met in the Artistry School at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, studying textile design. In 2005, they began creatively collaborating in their separate studios. While exchanging knowledge of sewing and dyeing techniques, they came up with some prototypes for women’s t-shirts. A short run of about 30 experimental t-shirts sold out at one of the New Bedford Open Studios and people were left wanting more! Through these early beginnings, much further research, trial and error, and a lot of hard work, Moon Tide has become the successful company it is today. When customers select Moon Tide Dyers clothing, they can feel good about their purchases. They will know that they received a quality garment from a responsible company that uses ethical business practices. They are always trying to source different materials that will make their product better.
