Thea Nicole Izzi has been designing and making her own jewelry since 1994. She is a native of Boston, MA, and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA 1991).
She has participated in many group shows including “Tiaras will be Worn”, A 2001 SNAG conference exhibit and “California Gold” an exhibition at the Sacramento Art Museum in the spring of 2003. Some of her awards include an Honorable Mention for the 2004 online exhibition entitled “Integrity of The Minimal” sponsored by PostPicasso.com, a 2004 Niche Award in the Silver category for her design “Fan Necklace” and Finalist in the silver category of the 2005 Saul Bell Award for the “Lotus Pearl Brooch”. In June 2006 Thea was Awarded “Best of Show” at The Old Town Art Fair in Chicago, Il.
She currently resides in the Providence RI area and divides her time between parenting, jewelry creation and freelance jewelry and product design. She recently relocated her studio to Hope Artiste Village, a thriving arts and cultural community in Pawtucket, RI not far from the east side of Providence.
