These Hand painted and lacquered wood frames are like none other. There are three parts to their creations, first an underlay of stain or paint is applied to the wood. Second - a casein emulsion and pigment are mixed and used as a glaze which is applied with metal and rubber combs, brushes, rags, sponges, fists and fingers, and third - Several rich layers of lacquer are applied to protect the work and give it a satin feel like that of a piano finish.

Each frame is one of a kind and can vary slightly from photograph.
