Each planter is cast from a home made plaster mold with the herringbone patterned carved out and inlaid with black underglaze or hand painted. This planter is for indoor use. There is no drainage hole.

Handmade in Rollinsford, NH
The home is a sacred and personal space, but sometimes you can take the importance of everyday objects for granted. It is worthy to surround yourself with meaningful objects that are well cared for. My work is a small part in helping to bring back an appreciation for handmade, quality goods. Elizabeth Benotti's was born and raised in Massachusetts then headed west to study ceramics, where she received a BFA at the University of Colorado in Boulder. It was there that she took her first ceramics class and fell in love with the material, process and the community it creates. Upon graduation she was accepted into the Resident Artists program at the Mendocino Art Center nestled on the northern coast of California. She was able to work alongside a small group of dedicated artist who are now close friends. Currently she reside in Eliot, ME and creates all the wares in my Rollinsford, NH studio.
