Alice Goldsmith is inspired by nature and ancient artifacts she has unearthed on her travels. A multi-step glazing technique enhances the contrast of tranquil interior with rough exterior. She layers texture over texture, creating and obliterating images, rendering her work instantly recognizable by its textures surrounding sleek, vibrant color. Each piece from the Alice Goldsmith Ceramics collection is individually thrown or cast , glazed by hand and then signed by the artist. Each handmade piece is unique, and made of porcelain, which is microwave and dishwasher safe.
