    Tokens & Icons

Boston Garden Floor Bottle Opener by Tokens & Icons

    $96.00

    • Boston Garden Floor Bottle Opener by Tokens & Icons

After the original Boston Garden was demolished in 1999, Tokens & Icons acquired the last 9 of 11 panels of the parquet floor directly from TD Garden.

This bottle opener is crafted from authentic Boston Garden parquet basketball floor which was in use from 1946-1999. Wood features scuffs and scratches of the green-painted section of the floor on which the Celtics won 16 of their 17 Championships. Quality nickel-plated hardware. Measures 6-1/2" and engraved with arena name. Officially licensed by TD Garden, each bottle opener comes gift-boxed with a Certificate of Authenticity.

    • All Tokens & Icons products are handcrafted from or incorporate authentic artifacts. Many of the artifacts, such as MLB Bats and NHL Plexi are manufactured (and used) in North America. When artifacts are repurposed into cuff links, the back hardware is made in Providence, RI, and the finished jewelry is crafted in North America. All wood, aluminum, plexi, golf clubs, tennis racquets, and hockey sticks are hand-cut and fashioned into bottle openers in Northern California.

The first step in the manufacturing process is receiving and confirming the authenticity of each artifact. Sports artifacts are sourced directly from the leagues, teams, schools, or trusted third parties, and are only accepted by Tokens & Icons if received with Letters of Authenticity or with frangible holograms. The historic artifacts such as coins, typewriter keys and watch movements are sourced directly from trusted collectors and aficionados.

    • Jenifer Green operates her business, Greentree Home Candle, very much like an artist eagerly greets a fresh canvas. There is a delicate mix of confidence, chance and instinct based on a keen sense of style and passion for the creative process. With a fine arts background, Green hand selects objects that appeal to her aesthetic value and inspire a sense of personal significance. From their studio in the foothills of the Catskills in NY State, the company produces a collection of contemporary 100% pure beeswax candles. The sculptural renderings are more than candles: they are objects that evoke beauty and serenity with graceful sophistication. With their rich textures and vivid palette, the candles are hand poured and individually hand finished.
