SwirlsnStones is a queer, woman owned business, that specializes in wire wrapped jewelry. Everything is handmade by Tess O’Brien, a self taught jewelry maker from Boston, MA. Her main focus is necklaces and earrings; and beyond that, she creates other accessories like bookmarks, ornaments, wall hangings and decorations. Much of her work depicts whimsical nature themes, swirls, curved lines, and abstract designs.

Tess likes to use copper wire because it is affordable yet beautiful and versatile. She starts by creating a design in raw copper wire, then oxidizes and polishes it, bringing out an antique looking patina. Lastly she adds a protective clear coating to her work to prevent it from tarnishing.
